Queensland company wins prestigious maritime innovation award

Queensland company AirBerth has won the 2015 Maritime Australia Limited Civil Industry National Innovation Award for its novel boat lift systems.

The company manufactures a range of boat lifts made entirely from high density polyethylene, which is resistant to the effects of marine growth and electrolysis. The lift systems also allow vessels to be stored out of the water to prevent damage to propellers and rudders, and eliminate the need for anti-fouling protectants.

AirBerth’s Managing Director, Alex Chan, was presented the award by Vice Admiral Chris Ritchie at the Pacific 2015 International Maritime Exposition in Sydney on 6 October 2015.
