MRO Asia-Pacific 2018

MRO Asia-Pacific 2018 was held at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre from 6-8 November 2018. MRO Asia-Pacific is a targeted civil aerospace event that brings together the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry - locally and globally - to discuss the latest issues and concerns of operators and their service providers and suppliers, and to provide opportunities to connect with the entire aerospace industry.

The Queensland Government, through Defence Industries Queensland, exhibited at the event along with 10 leading Queensland aerospace companies. These companies were:

  • APAS provides dedicated aircraft storage and part-out services for the Asia Pacific market. All maintenance activities are carried out pursuant to Part 145 approvals, held under EASA, FAA, BCAA, CASA and CAAS. APAS has stored and maintained B737, B767, B777, A320 and A330 aircraft on behalf of major international airlines and lessors. The APAS Group has developed a cloud-based SaaS maintenance management solution for Part 145 organisations.

  • Aviation Australia is a world class, Queensland Government-owned EASA, GCAA and CASA Part 147 approved maintenance training organisation, offering Part 66 category/sub-category licence training, aircraft type training, and a host of Part 145, Part 147 and Part M/42 consultancy services.

  • Fountx, a subsidiary of TAE Aerospace, has developed a wearable assisted reality (AsR) technology that can significantly boost the productivity and capability of technical teams. The technology behind Fountx was developed by CSIRO, Australia’s premier industrial research organisation, and commercialised by TAE Aerospace. Using a collaborative approach, CSIRO, TAE Aerospace and Fountx have ensured spatial awareness is always maintained producing an innovative and ground-breaking device that reduces maintenance downtime while improving accuracy, quality and safety performance.

  • Hawker Pacific - a Jet Aviation Company - has been delivering a diverse range of integrated aviation solutions for more than 40 years. These include aircraft sales; aircraft support and management; and aircraft supplies across Australia, Auckland, Hong Kong, The Middle East, plus many more locations throughout Asia and the Pacific. The company has a successful track record of delivery, specialising in working closely with customers to clearly understand their requirements and offer solutions to best fit budgetary, schedule and capability needs.

  • Pacific Turbine Brisbane has Part 145 MRO, P&W PT6A and Honeywell TPE331 workshops for turbine modification, repair and overhaul. The company offers turbine engine solutions including engine management programs, engine exchange and outright sales; rental and leasing; and in-field repairs. Extensive parts stock (LRU’s, accessories, parts and hardware) are held at the Brisbane facility and supported by a highly experienced team of engineers and sales and technical representatives. The company also offers Part 145, FAA and EASA release certifications for engines and parts.

  • Permagard Aviation is a market leader in aircraft interior and exterior presentation, asset protection, cleanliness and hygiene.   • Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is a leading provider of products and value-added services to the worldwide aerospace and defense industry. With nine locations and more than 260,000 square feet of sales and service facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Singapore, PAG uses its distinct business units and customer-focused business model to serve aviation customers through two business functions—Aviation supply chain, and its trademarked Inventory Supported Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (ISMRO®) services.

  • Qantas' engineering and maintenance experience dates back to when the airline first commenced operations in 1920. Since then, the company has gained nearly as many years experience in contract work. With the experience gained in maintaining Qantas' own fleet of more than 200 aircraft, the company can respond to customer airline requirements with flexibility and an understanding of operators’ concerns and constraints.

  • Sikorsky Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, is a major rotary wing logistics, maintenance and repair facility located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The company provides aftermarket support services to commercial and military operators of Sikorsky and Bell helicopters. The offered support services include - but are not limited to - supply of spare parts; engineering services; provision of maintenance, repair and overhaul; modification and refurbishment services of aircraft; components and accessories.
