Queensland defence companies recognised at Premier of Queensland's Export Awards

Defence Industries Queensland would like to congratulate two Queensland companies working in the defence sector who were recognised at this year's Premier of Queensland's Export Awards on 16 October 2014. Packer Leather, who make kangaroo gloves for international defence forces, won the Tom Burns Award for Excellence in the Asia Pacific and TAE, who maintain, repair and overhaul gas turbine engines for Defence, were a finalist for the Business Services Award.

We look forward to hearing more success stories from our state's defence suppliers at next year's awards, particularly now a specific defence category will be offered from 2015.
