Lambdatron develops green-powered drone capable of recharging in the air
Innovative Brisbane-based company Lambdatron have developed a battery-driven drone that recharges in the air, eliminating the need for charging pads and cutting back on electronic waste. The drone relies on kinetic energy to recharge and Lambdatron have increased the battery life of the drone from an average of 20 minutes to up to five hours.
The drones are designed for heavy duty industrial use, such as defence, mining, law enforcement and emergency services, and the technology will be particularly useful in areas where recharging station availability is limited.
