The Carseldine Urban Village site is a prime parcel of underutilised state land in the Fitzgibbon Priority Development Area (PDA) that is about to be revitalised under the government’s recently released Advancing our cities and regions strategy.
Advancing our cities and regions will see surplus and underutilised state property renewed and repurposed – breathing new life into communities across the state.
The renewal of the 45 hectare site is expected to be completed in four stages over four to six years, delivering some 900 homes for approximately 2000 residents as well as commercial and retail spaces, catalysing investment in the local community.
The first stage of the Carseldine site transformation will include a new boulevard entrance off Beams Road with landscaping architecture for the urban village that will complement the existing bushland.
Approximately 75% of the existing bushland will be retained and a proposed new 3.6 hectare sport and recreation precinct to be created.
