Queensland Defence sites to benefit from proposed facilities upgrades

A proposed $348 million Defence project will upgrade facilities including those at RAAF Base Amberley and the Oakey Army Aviation Centre. It will also contribute to jobs growth in South East Queensland.

The project proposes to provide new or upgraded working accommodation, administration, logistics and maintenance facilities as well as training and simulator facilities at Amberley. A multi-story car park and associated support services and infrastructure are also planned.

The project will also provide fit for purpose facilities to support and sustain employment of the new EA-18G Growler capability.
