Applications open for trade mission to Malaysian maritime and aerospace exhibition

Queensland defence companies interested in being part of a Commonwealth Government trade mission to Malaysia in March next year are invited to submit applications.

The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), from 21-25 March 2017, is regarded as an important gateway to potential business opportunities in the Asia Pacific region. The previous LIMA, held in 2015, generated business estimated to be worth almost $3 billion.

LIMA 2017 is looking for a range of capabilities, including in the following areas:

  • maritime and aerospace defence
  • shipbuilding and repair
  • maintenance, repair and overhaul
  • helicopters, training and simulation
  • unmanned aerial and undersea surveillance
  • safety
  • security and airport equipment.

The trade mission will be hosted by Team Defence Australia.
