Industry opportunities with Amberley defence facilities upgrade

The Department of State Development will host an industry briefing to discuss potential business opportunities arising from the proposed RAAF Base Amberley C-17 Maintenance Facility, Aircraft Apron and Associated Infrastructure Project.

Amberley's facilities are being upgraded to support its expanding C-17 Globemaster and KC-30A aircraft fleets and there will be opportunity to tender expressions of interest for a number of trade packages for the project. These include civil and building works, aircraft pavements and docking, as well as other specific aircraft support infrastructure, such as hydrant refueling and airfield lighting.

Businesses interested in hearing more about these opportunities are encouraged to attend the briefing:

Date: Tuesday 7 June 2016

Time: 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm

Venue: Billabong Room, Spring Lake Hotel, Springfield Lakes

The information session will provide an overview of general timings, the tender process and how to register an expression of interest. Managing Contractor for the project, CPB Contractors, will be on hand to advise and answer questions about the project.

Project approval is expected in August/September this year, with the first phase of construction scheduled to commence in December 2016 and be completed in September 2018.
